RFID Smart Tags

RFID is an innovative new technology which utilises “smart” tags. These tags can then be linked to product information on a database, such as the product details, e.g. size, colour, style of a shirt etc. Handheld scanners and antenna are then able to scan these tags, without requiring line of sight.

Endless possibilities are now available due to linking product information to a tag, improving areas of business such as stock taking by speeding it up and making it more cost effective; more accurately performing goods receiving; POS optimisation; accelerating stock searches; providing a platform for up-selling; social media engagement; accurate EAS etc.

  • Optimised Stocktaking – RFID handheld readers have the ability to read 500 per second, greatly reducing the time taken for stocktakes;
  • Search – Handheld readers are able to search for specific items, helping users to find stock on the shop floor or in the stock room or warehouse;
  • Accurate Stocktakes – Each RFID tag is unique, meaning tags will only be scanned once during a stocktake, providing high levels of accuracy;
  • Enhanced Inventory Control – Regular stocktakes can ensure stock is kept at optimal levels, reducing the chances of out-of-stock situations or high levels of slow moving stock. Live monitoring is also possible to enable 24/7 stock monitoring;
  • Up Selling – Numerous RFID products are able to enhance the customer experience, such as smart mirrors, product recommendations, change room  enhancements and more;
  • Anti-Shoplifting – RFID tags and antenna can monitor stock leaving the store, determining if it has been legitimately purchased;
  • Point-of-Sale – RFID creates a more efficient point of sale environment as tags do not require line of sight to be scanned, enabling numerous tags to be scanned in quick succession;
  • Warehousing – RFID provides a solution for warehouses to monitor the vast amounts of stock stores, as well as moitoring the movement between different sections of the warehouse.
